The types of problems I dealt with as a kid are completely different than the ones of this new generation. Facebook and Twitter are still relatively new to the world, yet they have become vehicles for some to bully and talk trash to children and adults. Found this interesting infographic created by internet attorney Aaron Kelly Law, that covers some great statistics on how many kids are actually affected by this problem.
As a parent, it makes sense that we would simply communicate better with our children what is actually going on with their online activity. Sadly though, parents leave children to discover on their own the ugly side of the world without preparing them or opening up about problems before they are encountered.
This infographic should give us some food for thought about how we prepare our kids for the real world.
